Following is an overview of the services provided in our Spokane SEO packages. If you have any questions about any of these services, please feel free to contact us anytime.

Keyword Research:

We start each SEO package with keyword research due to its overall importance. Without this step we would be grasping blindly to keywords that may or may not yield traffic.

On-Page Optimization:

This step is when we focus the pages of your site on the keywords that were researched in the previous step.

The use of on-page SEO is to better frame what your site is about for the search engines so when people search for the terms we determined in the previous step, your site will show up.

Off-Page Optimization:

This is the point where we inform the search engines about your site.

We utilize multiple proprietary methods for building highly effective backlinks that get quickly indexed and help build-up the framework for your continued online success.

We do not do much off-page SEO before the on-page optimization is complete for the sole purpose that we don’t want to lead the search engines to erroneous or pages without a specific purpose.

Continuous Analysis and Adjustments:

The job of getting your site to the front page is not complete when we see your site there. The search engines are constantly updating their algorithm to provide visitors with the highest quality and relevant information they can. To stay ahead of the competition we must adjust aspects of the SEO to maintain position.

What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is the practice of creating or modifying your site or specific in order to be search engine friendly, or in other words, to build traffic to your site. By being search engine friendly and by utilizing SEO, the target is to drive and increase organic search traffic.

Organic search traffic? Isn’t it all organic?

With the explosion of the internet in the early 2000’s, Google came into its own and changed the way search engines displayed results. They provided a box, illustrated below, where you can find multiple areas of paid links, PPC advertisements, and organic listings. Google’s method of displaying these ads had been similarly done previously by other search engines, but Google made the ads seemingly unobtrusive to the user. After the positive response to these ads and Google’s financial successes, the other search engines have taken the opportunity to utilize the same method. Now search engines display Pay Per Click, or PPC advertisements next to their organic search terms.

SEO Organic Links and PPC links on Google.com

The big difference between PPC and organic is that for PPC you pay per click while organic are free. That is, the organic terms are free as long as your site fits within the proprietary formula of the different search engines. Even if your site lists well one month, search engines are constantly upgrading their formula to be more relevant to their users. Thus the need for SEO services to keep your site listed at the top of the search results.

Why is SEO important?

SEO is an important web practice and service because it allows site owners to gain insight into the searches that users’ do that are related to their industry and then target those search terms to ensure that the people who are looking for your product are able to find it. Unfortunately, for as smart as search engines seem to be and for as much as they serve us the sites we are looking for there are many sites that go unfound or under-utilized since they either target the wrong keyword, don’t have enough links to their site, or a combination of many other reasons that may or may not have to do with their site but what the competition is doing.
We have a beautiful site people will definitely find and use the site, right?
Unfortunately you could have the best website, with the best technology, and the highest quality information for your industry or about your product category, but if the wrong keywords are targeted or if it’s ultra-competitive, you’ll face an uphill battle while trying to build organic search traffic.

A study by Optify, found here, found that the click through that links receive on Google is directly related to the links placement and position on the search results page. Optify found that for 89.96% of all traffic was captured on the front page and did not move on to the second page. Further study finds that over 60% of all clicks happen on the top 3 results. This means that in order to receive measurable traffic your site must be on the front page and the top 3 results must be targeted. Otherwise your site may receive little to know search traffic. The Optify study found that after the front page, the next highest click through rate was 0.66% on the 11th or the 12th position on the second page. This was a great fall from the 2.97% click through rate found in the tenth position of the front page.

*Data gathered from Optify study. Liked to below.

As you can see in the above graph, taken from data found in the Optify study, the click through rate from the first three positions dwarfs the click through rate from the second page. This graph illustrates the need to either learn to place your pages in these positions or higher a service, like you’ll find here, to do the work for you while you focus on building your business.

Now you should have a basic why SEO is important for your websites success and how much traffic you may be missing out by not utilizing a SEO service or techniques. I invite you to take the time to read the study mentioned from Optify, found here. After reading it, please give us a call or send us a message through the following form and we will meet you to provide a free consultation on how our services can help you build the traffic to that your site deserves.

Unfortunately most people believe online advertising to work somewhat like conventional advertising, where you pay your hard earned bucks and your ad shows wherever you’d like to be. The truth is that it can’t be further from the truth. Google is the major player when it comes to search pay per click advertisements and they utilize an advanced formula which takes into account many different variables from the selected keyword to the relevance of the destination page and site. From that high level description of what goes on it’s easy to see that simply paying for an ad doesn’t guarantee you’ll get the traffic that you hope for or at the economical price that is generally advertised on Googles Adwords page. We can spend time writing what can and can’t be done to provide quality score for your site, but Google has already taken the time to describe this in detail in a great video. If you’re interested, take the time to watch this video.

The reason pay per click advertising management is offered as one of our services is to help you navigate the sometimes confusing world pay per click ads. While you can spend hours upon hours determining the best way to optimize your pay per click advertising campaign, we have already taken that step and our economical services are great for allowing you to keep providing the great product you do while we optimize your ads to drive traffic to your site.

What is online reputation management?

The quick answer is that it’s the process of managing what customers see when they search for your business or while searching for information about your industry.

The next question is “Do you need online reputation management?”

Some businesses respond to this by saying one of the following statements:

“No problem, we have a website and we regularly place happy customer testimonials on it. We look like all-stars when you read our website.”

“Our loyal customers know what we provide. We’ll always have these customers.”

“Who cares what someone says about us online? Why do these people hide behind their computers?”

Unfortunately for these folks, these statements may be true to some extent. But let’s address the first response.

For the business that believes that people will go straight to their website without reading elsewhere about their service or product, are ill-informed. The web is no longer a closed system where users can’t easily voice their opinion. Now customers have virtually unlimited outlets to post their opinions or reviews for anything from the weather to a particular customer service rep. To illustrate this fact, take a normal day on Facebook. At any given moment you could have customers posting about how great your food is or now poor the service is.

Next let’s look at the business that believes their loyal customers will simply, continue to come to their establishment, no matter what someone posts online.

Though it’s cheaper and more lucrative to keep customers than to reach out and seek new customers. Without continuing growth of the customer base, there is no one to fill the void if a customer leaves or if simply seeking to increase business. The businesses that believe loyal customers will be enough to infinitely sustain them need online reputation management more than the previous group because they believe what they do is enough to stay lucrative, but don’t realize that prospective customers won’t purchase from their business so easily. Even “loyal” customers may check out the reviews of a favorite business. This could lead to loyal customers finding negative reviews of a particular business and deciding to find a more positively reviewed business for your service.

The third response is the most dangerous of the three. This business owner still believes that the internet is a fad and that the people posting about their business are lonely people who’s opinion doesn’t count and no one worth serving will read the review anyway. This is a totally false assumption and presents this business as troubled as there may be numerous reviews of their business but even if they are negative and the business becomes aware of them, they will not do anything in response or try to remove negative statements from the first few pages of search results.

The web now allows consumers to define a service or product they receive, to other users. The current web allows users to do this much easier than ever before and unfortunately negative reviews pop up more often than positive reviews.

According to a comScore study in October 2007, they surveyed and found that customers were between 8% and 41% more likely to purchase a product or service after consulting online reviews. comScore

On this same study respondents reported that between 73% and 87% of users identified reviews as significant influence on their purchase. Furthermore 97% reported that they found the review to be accurate.comScore

If you’re still trying to determine if purchasing an online reputation management service is price effective, note that on 4-5 star ratings, consumers are willing to pay between 20% and 99% more for 5-star service instead of 4 star service. If you could use that extra 20% for your business, give us a call and we can give you a free consultation.comScore

With online reputation management, Sharp Reputation works with you to build positive reviews from real customers . This helps to push negative reviews lower and lower on search results and provide the vision of your business you want customers to have so you are able to gain and keep new customers.
